Letter to ASES
Dear American Solar Energy Society,

How sad it is for this long time member of the Solar
Energy Society to see our organization fall prey to the
solar electric lobby.

Imagine paying $2,500,000 of our scarce money to a
public relations firm to whip America into an expensive
subsidized solar electric frenzy.  Think about it.  We are
all green, all of us eat food.  We see outside and, thanks
to glass, within many buildings by daylight.  Green jobs
are everywhere: every gardener, every farmer, every
cook, every waiter; many more than the green jobs you
mention.  How can you wish to steer us under a spell
where we no longer think or observe, as if we were at
war?

Please save our money and dismiss your public relations
firm so we are not coaxed into a jealous fit competing
with fossil fuel generated electricity.  Like the overweight
US public, our electric grid does not need new food as
much as a diet.  So, why not save electricity?

If we are all drunk on electricity we should stop using so
much and not listen to the solar electric lobby who say
solar electricity leaves no hangover.  With giant
subsidies, it leaves us all in debt.
